Movies and Schedule

I cannot find next week’s schedule. Will you be operating?

The weekly cinema schedule (Friday to Thursday) is planned on Monday and published by Tuesday afternoon.

How long will a specific movie remain in the schedule?

The duration of a movie’s screening depends on its popularity. New films are shown for at least one week and on average 2–4 weeks. Films that are no longer in the schedule can be booked for private or group screenings.

How long are advertisements shown before the movie starts?

Cinema hall doors open 10 minutes before the time indicated on the ticket. Advertisements and trailers are shown for no longer than 20 minutes.

I would like to attend with a child under 12, but the film has a “Not recommended by the age of 12” rating. Is entry allowed?

If a film has a strict age restriction (for example, “Forbidden for children under the age of 16”), persons who have not reached the specified age will not be admitted.

If the film has a recommendation (for example, “Under 12 – not recommended”), children will be admitted. Compliance with the age recommendation is the responsibility of the parents or guardians.

Tickets: Exchanges, Reservations, Prices, Types, Failed Purchases

Can I return or exchange cinema tickets purchased online?

Cinema tickets and gift tickets purchased via the website or mobile app cannot be exchanged or refunded (in accordance with Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 255).

Can I reserve tickets?

Tickets cannot be reserved. They can be purchased at apollokino.lv, via the mobile app, or at cinema self-service kiosks.

Do I need to present an ID to receive a discount?

Senior, disability, and children’s tickets require presentation of the relevant document at the time of purchase and/or at the entrance. If no document is presented, staff may refuse entry.

Up to what age can children attend screenings free of charge?

Children up to and including 3 years of age do not need a ticket if no additional seat is occupied.

Are the cinemas accessible for guests with reduced mobility?

Apollo Kino cinemas are accessible to guests with reduced mobility. Wheelchair users are admitted free of charge if they remain in the wheelchair for the entire screening. If a guest wishes to sit in a cinema seat, a ticket must be purchased (a discount is available upon presentation of a disability certificate).

What should I do if money has been withdrawn but tickets were not received?

Please contact the cinema Information desk or send your payment confirmation along with a short description of the situation to info@apollokino.lv for review. A written response will be provided within 2 working days.

Can a PDF ticket be used for entry?

Yes! For added convenience, tickets are also available in the Apollo Kino mobile app under “My Tickets”.

Promotions, Offers and Special Screenings

Why can I not apply the Tele2 discount for a Thursday screening?

There may be several reasons. The Tele2 discount does not apply to preview screenings or special events. It is also important to select the “Standard Ticket” type when applying the discount. If the discount still does not apply after meeting these conditions, please contact info@apollokino.lv. A written response will be provided within 2 working days.

What is the difference between a “Special Screening” or “Event” and regular screenings?

Special screenings include additional activities and a unique atmosphere that differs from the regular cinema experience. They may include themed events, competitions, meetings with filmmakers, surprises, and special snack and beverage tastings from partners.

School Groups, Private Screenings, Events, Business Clients

Does a teacher need to purchase a ticket?

One teacher receives a free ticket for every 10 students if the reservation is made in advance. Information and the application form are available here.

What is the minimum number of students required for a group booking?

Reservations are available for groups of at least 10 students.

Is the school group offer valid for all screenings?

The offer is valid for screenings from Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 17:00.

How many days in advance must the application be submitted for a film currently in the programme?

The application must be submitted at least 2 working days in advance.

I would like to celebrate a birthday at the cinema. How can this be arranged?

Gift Tickets

Can I buy popcorn with a gift ticket?

No, gift tickets are valid only for exchange for a cinema ticket.

Can the validity of a gift ticket be extended?

Yes, if the ticket has not yet expired, its validity can be extended in person at any Apollo Kino Information Desk. The extension fee is €2.00 per ticket. The maximum extension period is one month.

Can a gift ticket be used on the last day of its validity?

Yes, the gift ticket must be used by the indicated expiry date (inclusive), but the screening itself may take place after the expiry date.

I have a €13 gift ticket. Can I sit in Double or Star seats?

Yes. If the ticket price is higher, you may pay the difference. If it is lower, the remaining balance is not refunded.

Can gift tickets be used for online purchases?

Yes. Enter the code in the field “Use coupon or promo code” and click “Use +”.

Customer Account

I forgot my Apollo Club password / I want to change it.

Your password and other profile details can be changed in your Apollo Club account settings under “My Profile”.

How can I delete my Apollo Club account?

Please send a written request to deactivate your profile to info@apollokino.lv from the same email address used to create the account. A written response will be provided within 2 working days.

Lost and Found

I forgot a personal item at the cinema. What should I do?

For the quickest resolution, please visit the cinema in person. Alternatively, send a detailed description to info@apollokino.lv. A written response will be provided within 2 working days.

Apollo Club Free Gift Ticket Usage

What is a free ticket and how can it be obtained?

An Apollo Club member receives a free ticket after attending 7 paid screenings. It is issued within 72 hours after the 7th ticket and appears in the Apollo Club account and is also sent by email.

Why can I not use the free ticket for special events or premieres?

Gift tickets, including free tickets, cannot be used to purchase tickets in the “Special Event Ticket” category.

Can I give my free ticket to a friend or family member?

Yes, a gift ticket may be used by any person.

Feedback on Screenings

The movie quality is poor / Star seats are not working. What should I do?

Please inform cinema staff immediately during the screening. Complaints are not accepted after the screening has ended. All feedback and suggestions can be sent to info@apollokino.lv. Feedback regarding a specific cinema will also be forwarded to the respective location.
